Fantastic First Day

I remember being up all night excited for the first day of school. My clothes were laid out like a mannequin was posed in them and I couldn't wait to meet my new teacher & see my friends again. It warmed my heart to see my kid doing the exact same things last night.

It's a childhood rite of passage that I'm grateful hasn't changed despite all the technology available to kids today. She's connected with most of her school buddies on Roblox, so they haven't lost contact like we did in the 90's. But the feelings and themes endure: anxiety induced insomnia, impeccable hygiene, fresh fits, and a heart full of hopes and wishes.

I decided to put those hopes and wishes to good use, yesterday was August 27, 2025 and the moon was waxing crescent last night, which is great for making plans, mapping success, and manifesting abundance. With a little construction paper and some old magazines we crafted our vision boards and here's what the kids came up with:
